Managing Effort: Getting Results
Description:
  • This program is designed to help managers improve performance and results through training, coaching and facilitating the development of their staff as responsible self-managers. Managing Efforts: Getting Results is designed to increase the productivity and overall effectiveness of the human resources in any environment. Some of the concepts in this course may challenge your beliefs. The information provided certainly challenges some of the traditional approaches to management, and may seem counter-intuitive. The course contents are intended to get you to take a critical look at your management and coaching styles; the type of "team" you wish to build; how you invest your time and energy; and how you can maximize your Return on Employees ("ROE").
Participants Will Learn:
  • The role of the coach in the interactive process with employees.
  • How to effectively coach the good employees.
  • The techniques for developing self-managing employees.
  • The difference between coaching and coaxing and analysis of their own tendencies.
  • How to effectively assign responsibility and accountability.
  • The power of internal vs. external motivation and how to coach for it.
  • The difference between commitment and compliance and how to coach for commitment.
  • How to manage effort and avoid managing by results only.
  • Techniques for the development of self-confidence in others.
  • How to maximize their Return on Investment ("ROI") of commitment/energy.
  • How to make better decisions about what they support.
  • Strategies for dealing with high ability, low effort people and for developing and retaining high ability, high effort people.
  • How to enhance their personal and professional well-being.
The Managing Effort system is a day-to-day useable and practical management system that:
  • Provides the manager with an effective coaching/leadership approach.
  • Supports a management approach that respects the integrity of the individual.
  • Works from the inside out.
  • Helps people grow through accepting responsibility and accountability for their own effort and results.
  • Helps managers develop strategies for dealing with all types of employees.
  • Focuses on performance that gets results.
  • Builds on strengths, reinforces conscious competence and promotes opportunities for both personal and professional growth and development.
  • Provides the underpinnings and philosophies of a management and coaching approach that will stay with you forever.
Interactive:
  • Through brain based accelerated learning techniques, participants use the information every 30 minutes, ensuring that everyone has a chance to use the methods introduced. The participants are involved in group, and individual activities as their skills increase.
Practical Application:
  • Adult education is only valuable when it can make a difference on the job the next day. Our unique homework plan can ensure that participants will think about the material for weeks.
Format:
  • Training will take place on the premises of the client or another location selected.
Fees:
  • Our fees for training services are billed at $150 per student per day, subject to a minimum fee of $2,500 per day plus out-of- pocket expenses, including airfare, hotel, transportation and training facilities.
